NAFFCO tops 4 in the 8th DIP Corporate Sports Competition

National Fire Fighting Manufacturing FZCO (NAFFCO), among 39 participating companies, placed Top 4 corporate team in an Olympic-style event – the 8th DIP Corporate Sports competition featuring 35 sports events.

Happening over 1.5 months between February and March 2014, NAFFCO sent teams for volleyball, basketball, cricket, and football. NAFFCO also participated in individual events like chess, table tennis, running, bowling and billiards.

NAFFCO got 2 gold medals for bowling and marathon; 3 silver medals for bowling, marathon, and volleyball; a bronze medal for volleyball and another 2 bronze medals for marathon.

In addition, NAFFCO players ranked 4th place in billiards, table tennis, badminton, and basketball. While one of NAFFCO’s cricket teams placed 5th.

Founded in 2006, the largest multi-corporate sports event aims to promote friendly competitions and encourage healthy lifestyles among all the participants, and ultimately all of Dubai.

The competition is Dubai\'s first inter-company event of its kind organized annually to give companies a means of expressing corporate citizenship while also generating goodwill and PR exposure.

With NAFFCO’s strong finish at rank number 4 garnering a total of 152 points, there is no doubt NAFFCO will have a better come back in the 9th edition in 2015.
