Fire Officer I (40 Hours each)
The purpose of the Fire Officer I course is to provide entry-level fire officers with the knowledge and skills to meet the minimum job performance requirements for fire officers. Fire Officer I candidates must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to function safely and effectively as an integral member of a firefighter team. When engaged in hazardous activities, the Fire Officer I work under direct supervision of a senior company officer and as a team leader.
Fire Officer II (40 Hours)
The purpose of this course is to provide officers at the second level of progression with the knowledge and skills to meet the job performance requirements a second level fire officer. Fire Officer II candidates must demonstrate depth of knowledge and skills necessary to function under general supervision. A person trained at the Fire Officer II level will function safely and effectively as an integral member of a team to accomplish a variety of task.
