Fire Officer III (40 Hours)
This Course leads to IFSAC or Pro Board certification. A course specialized for the chief officer who is ready to advance into the upper management level of his/her department. This course consists of subjects designed to increase the officer knowledge of management and administration so that he/she can make basic evaluations of employee relations and assume a more proactive role in their department. This is a project-based class.
Fire Officer Iv (40 Hours)
This course leads the student to IFSAC or Pro Board certification. This 40-hour course meets executive management level needs. The course is designed to meet the elements of NFPA 1021, Chapter 7. Fire Officer IV course emphasizes the management of fire protection services to include human resource management, multiagency emergency service delivery with horizontal/vertical communication requirements, and risk management. This course includes group interactive exercises and I.T. reinforced class lectures.
Hazmat Awareness I Hazmat Operations (24) Hours
The goal of this course is to bring personnel to a recognized Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness Training level (1910.120(q)(6)(i)). Per this legislation, first responders at the awareness level are individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. They would take no further action beyond notifying the authorities of the release. First responders at the awareness level shall have sufficient training or have had sufficient experience to objectively demonstrate competency
